A studio publishes several return profiles for one game; the operator picks one, and nothing on screen announces which. So a portal quoting 97.24% and another quoting 96.42% can both be right about different builds — neither describes the version you have open.
Big Time Gaming prices the Feature Drop as a figure that starts at a set level and falls every time a “BTG” coin lands — a mechanic, not the flat-rate button most write-ups describe. That entry can change the round, so it may carry its own return: of three portals publishing 97.77%, only nzcasino qualifies it during the Feature Buy. The other two do not.
This is the part nobody else prints. On Big Time Gaming's official page, Max Win, RTP and Ways are image files — WhiteRabbit_GameStats_MaxWin.png, _RTP.png, _Ways.png. There is no machine-readable RTP or max-win figure on that page at all. A design choice, not a deception, with a mechanical consequence: every portal transcribes a picture by hand, nothing can re-check them, and no citable original exists to settle a disagreement. Four figures in circulation is the predictable result, and why the answer has to come from your own screen.
Arithmetic on the published returns — ordinary cash play, so no wagering attaches.
Hollywoodbets showed a R1,00 minimum on 31 July 2026, a build-dependent floor, so the maths starts there. On the 97.24% build the edge is 2.76%: R500 funds R18,116 of turnover — about 18,116 spins at R1,00, 9,058 at R2,00. On the 96.42% build the same R500 funds R13,966, roughly 4,150 fewer spins for identical money. Expected cost per R1,00 spin: R0.0276 — under three cents, and exactly the number that looks harmless until multiplied by eighteen thousand.
For scale, take a table game. Blackjack at basic strategy runs about a 0.5% edge: R500 covers R100,000 of turnover, roughly 4,000 hands at R25. Even on the 97.24% build this slot charges some five to six times that per unit staked. What the extra buys is the ceiling — a feature round on an extended reel set returns a multiple no blackjack hand will pay. And the caveat beside every figure here: this is expectation, not experience. A published return describes an enormous number of spins, not your session. High variance is the game, so most real R500 sessions end far short of eighteen thousand spins. The arithmetic says what the game costs to run, not what tonight will do.

We will not resolve this by picking the biggest number. 13,000× is what most desks print, 17,420× appears under a different label elsewhere, and the studio publishes nothing a reader can quote. Which lands where the RTP table landed from the other direction: the help screen of your build is the authority — on the ceiling, the return, and the stake range that decides how long R500 lasts.
