Franco titles never got past their loaders; and Aristocrat’s own Zorro answers “the demo version of Zorro by Aristocrat is currently unavailable”.
Free play and real play run the same certified random number generator; only the balance differs. What can differ is the configuration — this demo runs the studio default, not your operator’s. That distinction is the point of this page.
The provider-listed RTP is not one number here. It is a menu, and the operator orders from it.

The operator’s own page is the figure that binds
Mega Casino prints RTP 91.46% – 92.06% on its Legend of Zorro page. Prime Slots, same game and same licence, prints none. The figure is also inside the game — open the menu or the i icon and read the Return to Player line for your build.
Six publishers, six answers. The studio lists four configurations. Mega Casino prints 91.46–92.06%; Prime Slots, same licence and game, prints nothing. Two catalogues print 96.31% and 96.04%. Aristocrat publishes none at all.
Our arithmetic: expected cost = turnover × (1 − RTP).
On the 92.06% a British lobby deployed, the edge is 7.94%: £100 of turnover costs an expected £7.94 — per spin, 0.79p at 10p, 15.88p at the £2 cap and 39.70p at the £5 cap. On the studio’s top configuration every one of those halves.
Blackjack played to basic strategy carries a house edge commonly put near 0.5% — about £0.50 per £100, against £7.94 here. That gap is the price of what a slot sells.
On hit frequency, a listing quotes a 20–30% band for the Spinomenal build — roughly one paying spin in three to five — but it is not on the studio sheet, so we record it as somebody else’s figure. A hit is not a profit: on a 100-line game many paying spins return less than the stake.
Press the Zorro button, spell the name, and one of five very different rounds opens. Few slots offer that much variety behind a single trigger.
Aristocrat publishes no game sheet, so what follows comes from two independent published descriptions that agree. The Zorro button raises your bet slightly and swaps the card symbols for Z, O, R, R and O. Spell the name and one of five routes opens: Tornado, up to 500× the line bet; Gold Coins, a pick-two with multipliers; Wild Z, a Z wild across three free spins; Barrels, a menu from 20 spins at 2× to 5 at 15×; and Magic Door, revealing up to 1,000×. Every figure is a multiple of the line bet.
The write-ups disagree on one thing: whether you choose the route. Two say the player picks; a third says the system selects at random and only Barrels then offers a choice. The help screen settles it — and it matters, because “pick your bonus” and “be assigned one” are different products.
A UKGC build must leave 2.5 seconds between game cycles, and you press start each time. Autoplay, turbo and quick spin are all gone. Listings for the Aristocrat build still advertise autoplay, which no British build can carry.
Four things move. The denomination range narrows; the pacing slows; the presentation loses any celebration of a return at or below your stake; and the jackpot linkage of cabinet products like Zorro Power of Z is absent, as the operator’s page states.
At 92.06%, every pound cycled costs an expected 7.94p. At the 10p minimum and the 2.5-second floor, an hour is at most 1,440 cycles — £144 turned over, an expected £11.43. At the £2 cap, £2,880 and £228.67.
The Spinomenal build scales without losing symbol legibility. The control that suffers on a phone matters most: the game runs from 10 to 100 lines, and the line count is the setting people leave alone. Our demo opened on 10 — easy to miss, and how you end up on a bet shape you did not intend.
The sword-slash flourish plays the same whether the win is worth two line bets or two hundred — presentation, not information. A win of 1.2× your stake still gets the full animation.
The roster is documented. The per-symbol figures are not, and we will not invent them.

The four checks, in order
1 · Read the studio credit on the game’s help screen, not the lobby tile: a 94.99% figure for a Playtech build says nothing about the unrelated KA Gaming game of the same name. 2 · Match the title against that studio’s portfolio. 3 · Read the RTP line against the studio’s range — the check that pays: if four configurations ship and the lobby deployed the second, the review quoting the fourth described a game you are not playing. 4 · Check the lobby’s licence on the public register. Mega Casino and Prime Slots both sit under 39326, Skill On Net Limited.
Searching the theme word is how people land on the wrong game. A directory of all slot games returns every title containing “Zorro” regardless of maker, and an aristocrat slot finder returns nothing here, because the Zorro build in British lobbies is not an Aristocrat game. Use the lobby’s provider filter: studio first, then title — the habit that also finds igt slots or the reissues searched as old aristocrat slot machines. Aristocrat’s scarcity online here is a catalogue decision, not a regulatory barrier.

1 · Set the stake inside the ceiling that applies to you
The total you may stake in one game cycle is £2 under 25 and £5 at 25 and over; the floor on the build we checked is 10p. The operator applies the band from your verified date of birth, printed on the game page as “£2/£5”.
2 · Open the help screen and read the deployed return first
The step that pays for itself. The studio ships several configurations and the operator picks one. Two lobbies on the same licence differed on the day we looked: one printed 91.46–92.06%, the other nothing.
3 · Check how many lines you are actually funding
The Spinomenal build runs 10 to 100 lines and opens on ten; the Aristocrat game runs 25 fixed. Which you are on decides whether a published “5,000×” means five thousand times your bet or two hundred.
4 · Recognise the Zorro button and the letters it turns on
The Zorro button raises your bet slightly and replaces the card symbols with Z, O, R, R, O. It is an opt-in cost — a stake decision, not a free extra.
5 · Read the bonus menu before you touch it, and leave the stake alone
Where the game does offer a choice — Barrels certainly does — it is a variance trade: 20 spins at 2× is steady, 5 at 15× the swing. Neither is better; they buy different shapes of one expected value. Free spins run at the triggering stake, so set it first.
6 · Set a deposit or loss limit before you fund the account
Every UKGC-licensed site carries deposit, loss and time limits in the account settings, effective as soon as you tighten them. Set yours while choosing a stake. Support routes.
Three things you may expect are absent. No autoplay: the standard requires you to commit to each game cycle individually. No turbo or quick spin: a British build may not shorten the wait for a result. And a spin returning at or below your stake gets no win animation. A session runs longer and quieter than on a Las Vegas floor — the point of the rules, not a fault.
The headline is the easy part. Four terms decide the real number — and here a fifth, unwritten one does more work than any of them.
All four are quoted from the Mega Casino welcome-bonus terms as read on 10 August 2026: “Max Bonus £25. WR 10x Bonus (only Slots count) within 30 days. Max bet is 10% (min £0.10) of the free spin winnings and bonus or £5 (lowest applies).” Their own example adds: “For the maximum £25 bonus + 50 free spins, you would need to wager £500 in total.” Any cap on what a bonus can pay sits in the separate Bonus Policy.
Run the identical offer on the studio’s top configuration and the same £200 of turnover at 96.04% costs £7.92 — the same £20 bonus now worth about £12.08. Same deposit, same multiple, same window: the configuration alone moved the value threefold. The RTP line in the help screen is a bonus term in everything but name.
The free-spins half works the same way: fifty spins at the stated 10p value is £5 of play, and whatever it returns must be cycled ten times — ten turns of a £10 win costing an expected £7.94. A wager-free offer removes that step, which is why its cap matters more than the spin count.
Branded titles are a common place for an exclusion or a reduced contribution, because the licence fee makes them expensive to run. The terms we read say only “only Slots count” — which puts a Zorro-themed slot in the eligible set without telling you it contributes at 100%. That line sits in the Bonus Policy under game contribution. At less than full weight your real turnover requirement is higher than the headline multiple.

We take each operator’s processing window from its own terms, because that is the statement you can hold them to. Mega Casino lists Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Trustly Direct, Apple Pay and Paysafecard; its sister site notes withdrawals cannot return to Apple Pay, so another method must be on the account first. The most consistent positive is not a payout, — it is the fairground-style sting on a big win, and the sheer number of bonus rounds behind one button. Writers who have played the cabinet describe wanting to trigger it again just to hear the music, which is a fair description of what the game sells.
The most repeated experience with the Aristocrat online build is that it will not launch. A forum poster reported a “could not launch the game” error; that site now carries a standing unavailable notice; a second free-play site marks it “Game Unavailable”. Our own probe on 10 August 2026 got the same answer.
Read four write-ups of “the Zorro slot” and you get four launch years — the 1990s, 2011, 2015 and 2017 — plus disagreement over whether the player picks the bonus or the game assigns it. Less carelessness than symptom: the pages describe different builds without saying so.

On the day we checked, one: Legend of Zorro by Spinomenal, at Mega Casino and Prime Slots — two brands on the same Skill On Net licence, account 39326. Aristocrat’s own Zorro was in no British lobby we could find. All six are in the UK Zorro map.
Open the game and read the Return to Player line in the menu or under the i icon. Some lobbies print it too: Mega Casino showed 91.46–92.06%, while Prime Slots — same game, same licence — showed nothing.
