The Triple Reaction Engine is BTG’s name for the cascading reels mechanic in Opal Fruits. Every winning combination causes the winning symbols to be removed from the grid. New symbols fall in from above to fill the empty positions. If those new symbols create another winning combination, that also triggers a cascade, and so on until no new wins form from a cascade. Each cascade step is evaluated as a separate win, and all of them benefit from any active multiplier wilds present on the grid at the time.

This creates a compounding effect: the initial spin win might be modest, but if the cascade keeps running — three, four, five steps — each step adds to the total win while the multiplier wilds remain. A single spin that generates five cascade steps with a pair of 3x wilds is producing five separate 9x-multiplied wins from one base game spin. The multiplier wilds in Opal Fruits each carry a fixed 3x multiplier. Unlike Lil Devil’s Angel Wilds (which have variable 4x–12x values), here every wild is 3x — the power comes from how many land simultaneously. Two wilds: 3x × 3x = 9x. Three wilds: 27x. Four wilds: 81x. Five wilds: 243x. Six wilds (one per column): 3×3×3×3×3×3 = 1,296x applied to all winning combinations on that evaluation. In practice, getting all six columns to show a multiplier wild simultaneously is rare.
