The core mechanic of Marching Legions is physical and visual: when a full stack of legionary symbols fills an entire reel from top to bottom, those legionaries do not just sit there. They march. Each respin moves the marching stack one reel to the left. If the stack is on reel 5, it takes four respins to march from reel 5 all the way through to exit left of reel 1. During each respin, the remaining reels spin normally — creating multiple chances for new wins as the marching stack remains in place.
