Standard avalanche mechanics drop symbols straight down after wins. Cygnus adds a directional gravity component: after each win is removed, the remaining symbols slide either left or right depending on which gravity force is currently active. This changes which symbols fill the cleared spaces and which positions connect into winning combinations on the next cascade — creating outcomes that feel different from a straight-down avalanche even when using the same symbol set.

The directional gravity also drives the row expansion mechanic. Each cascade that generates wins adds additional rows to the grid — one row per winning avalanche, up to the maximum 8. At 8 rows with gravity-driven symbol placement and 262,144 ways to win active, the potential for consecutive multi-way wins in a single spin sequence is significantly higher than any standard avalanche format at 4 rows.
